THE CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF FORENSICS AND CERTIFIED FRAUD INVESTIGATORS OF NIGERIA (CIFCFIN) – FOUNDER’S DAY SPECIAL REPORT

The Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) was established through the vision and dedication of its esteemed pioneer governing council, fondly referred to as the "12 Wise Men." The founding members are: Dr. I.B. Gashinbaki, Dr. Johnson Oludeinde Oluata, Prof. Suleiman Aruwa, Prof. Emmanuel Ikechukwu Okoye, Alh. Maru Lawal Bawa, Prof. Michael Adebayo Ayeni, Mrs. Alice Samuel Urom, Dr. Christian Chibueze Chigbu, Mrs. M'ovul Kondoun Shiva Rae, Prof. Hassan Ibrahim, Dr. Oke Olubode, and Hajiya Fatima Muhammadu Buhari. To contribute to the Nigerian and global criminal justice system, industry, and society efficiently and effectively.


To establish infrastructure and maintain leadership in forensics and fraud investigations.


To develop a practical understanding of the areas of knowledge and skills that are essential to the forensics and fraud investigation profession.


To provide quality forensics and fraud investigation education, research, and advanced forensics and fraud investigation analysis.

The objectives of the Institute are to;

Organize and provide professional training in the specialist areas of forensics and fraud investigation


Professionalize forensics and fraud investigation with a commitment to raising great leaders in all sectors of the economy


Promote art and science in the areas of forensics and fraud investigation


Educate, conduct, and establish approaches to the forensic and fraud investigation practice


Facilitate collaboration between public and private sectors of the economy on forensics and fraud investigation measures


Integrate culture and ethical standards in the specialist areas of forensic and fraud investigation practice


Be a regulatory body for apply forensic auditing techniques to prevent fraud.
