ANAN AND CIFCFIN SIGNS MOU TO STRENGTHEN THEIR STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, a momentous occasion unfolded at the ANAN House in Abuja, as the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) formalized their commitment to a landmark partnership, by officially signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

This collaborative venture represents a significant step towards fostering continuous development, cooperation and mutual support between ANAN and CIFCFIN. Acknowledging the imperative to leverage their distinctive expertise, both organizations are dedicated to advancing the fields of accounting, auditing, forensics, and fraud investigation in Nigeria.

The MOU encompasses strategic initiatives designed to fortify professional standards, enhance educational programs and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and resources between ANAN and CIFCFIN. This comprehensive framework underscores the shared vision for elevating professional practices within the financial and investigative sectors.

At the signing ceremony, CIFCFIN was represented by distinguished delegates, including Dr. I.B. Gashinbaki, the Pioneer President and Chairman of the Governing Council; Prof. S.A.S Aruwa, the Second Vice President and Dr. Isa Salifu, the Registrar/CEO, accompanied by other esteemed members of the CIFCFIN Council and Institute staff. While on the ANAN side, key figures present included Dr. James Ekerare Neminebor, FCNA, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council, Mall Gidado, Treasurer and Council member and Dr. Kayode Olushola Fasua, FCNA, the Chief Executive Officer, along with other distinguished members of ANAN's Governing Council.

The formalization of this MOU marks the inception of a new chapter in the collaborative efforts of ANAN and CIFCFIN, poised to make a substantial contribution to the growth and development of the professional landscape in Nigeria.
